im stuck between these three designs. i would just go with the Tempest, but im worried i will miss somehting the Sentinel has over it. With the Sentinel, im worried im giving up some midrange quality vs the other two. as for the TD12M, is it an improvement in sound quality over both of them?

These would all be crossed over to subs. 4 18" subs to be exact. Im building a Big Mal for a center(as soon as Erich invoices me for the baffle ;) ..). Any insight i can get from you guys as to the differences between these speakers would be much appreciated.

I'd personally go TD12 if the cost is similar. But realistically they're all very good choices. Sorry that isn't very helpful but you won't be making a bad choice.

With a sub td12m is technically the superior driver.

Honestly, it probably comes down to the crossover. To bad there's not more comparative reviews of them all!

i think he meant the xover inside the speaker. I have the Tempests and have heard the Sents. they are more similar than different. Matt (mtg90) has also heard both. the sent has a slightly more defined and fuller midrange. but its a larger speaker. when run with subs you dont really notice the difference between the 2 unless you are running them loud. i cant comment on the TD12 but i imagin it would follow the similar pattern
